Lisanne was born and raised in Halifax. She graduated from Saint Mary’s with a Bachelor of Arts and from Dalhousie with a Bachelor of Laws. She was admitted to the Bar in 2002 and joined Heritage House Law Office in 2005.
She has a general litigation practice, which includes Personal Injury, Family Law, Estate Litigation, Construction Law, Property Disputes and Wrongful Dismissal. She also practices in the area of Wills & Estates and Real Property Law.
She is passionate about advocating for her clients and has appeared at all levels of court in Nova Scotia from Small Claims Court to the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal.
Lisanne is a member of the Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society, the Canadian Bar Association, the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyer Association, and the Halifax Estate Planning Council. She has served since 2002 as a parent facilitator in the Parent Information Program run by the Nova Scotia Supreme Court (Family Division). She has also previously served on the Habitat for Humanity Family Services Committee and the Board of Directors for the Back to the Sea Society.
Lisanne resides in Halifax and enjoys spending time in nature with her ever growing family and she has often been spotted in a canoe with her dog, Milo, sitting front and center.
