Lawyer

Lisanne is a life long Haligonian. She graduated from the Schulich School of Law in 2001 after obtaining her Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s University. She was called to the bar in 2002.

Lisanne is an accomplished lawyer and was appointed as a presiding Justice of the Peace in 2019 by the Nova Scotia Minister of Justice. She practices in the areas of Wills and Estates, Real Estate and Adoptions.  During her career she has appeared at all levels of Court in Nova Scotia, including the Nova Scotia Supreme Court and the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal. 

As a presiding justice, Lisanne presides as decision maker in Interim Judicial Release hearings, Peace Bond Hearings, Emergency Protection Order hearings, and Regulatory and Summary Offence hearings. 

She is the proud mother of two children, three fur babies, and she is lucky enough to have four grandchildren who keep her busy in her down time. Lisanne utilizes her broad range of life experiences, in addition to her educational and professional experiences, to help her clients to the best of her ability always striving to meet the goal to always give more and better service than is expected, no matter what the task may be.
