Mark Charles was born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours), majoring in history and political science, from Dalhousie University. Mark received his Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B.) from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2008 and was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2009.

Following several years gaining experience in a large law firm setting and developing a practice of corporate and real estate law, Mark chose to open his own independent firm to focus on the real estate and commercial needs of individuals and small-to-medium sized businesses in Dartmouth and the surrounding area. Mark Charles Law grew from a small practice into a thriving firm and quickly outgrew its location. To facilitate this progression and further enhance client experience, Mark Charles Law merged with Heritage House Law in 2016.

Mark continues to apply his knowledge, passion and broad experience into helping navigate clients through challenging commercial legal situations and places a great emphasis on client communication and understanding.

Mark is a Notary Public and member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, Canadian Bar Association, and Real Estate Lawyers Association of Nova Scotia (RELANS).
