Myra hails from upstate New York and has been a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society for 25+ years on the Eastern Shore. Her general practice of law emphasizes Real Estate transactions, Property Disputes, Wills & Estates, Probate Litigation, Family Law and Fisheries matters. Myra is bilingual in English and German, with some Icelandic familiarity.
Myra earned her J.D. at Pace University School of Law in White Plains, New York and her Canadian equivalency certification at the Schulich Law School (formerly Dalhousie Law School). She has also studied International Law in Vienna, Austria and Budapest, Hungary. Her experience includes stints as a Small Claims Court Adjudicator, Nova Scotia Assessment Appeals Hearing Officer, Community Services Hearing Officer and Capital Health Research Ethics Board Member.
Myra’s joy is found in helping people achieve their legal goals, kayaking, arctic expedition cruising, hiking and generally spending time on the ocean.
